There's So Much To Say About Gracie...
Gracie is our very loving, even-tempered, sweet "cuddle monkey" adorable 9 year old French Bulldog! She's a real social and friendly little dog (more person than pet).
She is also the co-founder and CEO (Canine Executive Officer) of TAZZELSTM!
In March 2005, Gracie was a Rescue Puppy (yes, unfortunately there are some people who should not be allowed to care for a Pet rock not to mention a living creature)! She is a true Gift...a special loving part of our lives and everyone she touches.
On March 31, 2008, Gracie jumped off the bed and within 36 hours she was paralyzed!
Jumping off anything is very bad for "Short-legged, Long-backed" doggies! Our awesome family vets at Pets & Friends said that Gracie would need immediate treatment by a Vet Surgeon Specialist . So they made the arrangements for us and off we drove to Denver 110 miles away, to Alameda East Animal Hospital (the Animal Planet ER Vets) where Dr. Kevin McAbee and their wonderful staff were waiting for Gracie. They performed back surgery. She had ruptured 3 discs. After 7 days in ICU, a bout of pneumonia and with a 9-inch incision scar, our Gracie was standing again and returned home!
Her Rehab was interesting because she had to learn to walk again...but Gracie refused to accept the recovery time line and within a month she was way ahead of her rehab schedule and well on her way to a full recovery!!! Unfortunately now, she's even more like us. The weather and climate changes cause her to be stiff and hurt some times, but Lady Gracie has not missed a beat!
Gracie has a fantastic and very real smile and is happy, playful and curious all the time...Even people who say they don't like dogs seem to be instantly taken with Gracie. They want to talk to, play with and pet her...fortunately she doesn't seem to mind!
Gracie loves to dress-up....to wear her Winter Coat, light Jacket, Camo Army Vest, Bandannas. A Biker even gave her a Skull & Bones bandanna. She wants to wear "something" all the time, even her harness...so the idea of TAZZELSTM, beautiful, mood-fitting TAZZELSTM was born! There is no hassle of changing or putting on doggy clothes so she can "dress up" everyday....and you can even put TAZZELSTM on people stuff too!
She is the TAZZELSTM Model & Spokes dog, of course, in addition to being the co-founder and CEO! She is perfect for the job because she is such a Ham!
Gracie is her Mom's inspiration and Muse for TAZZELSTM!
